Just finished getting my book published and now I’m in the promotion stage, it will be tougher for me because it’s not a story but just my writings, but this certainly is making me more familiar with how this market works. Thanks for your advice.

Thank you so much for this information. I’ve self published a book on http://www.lulu.com called ‘Tales of the unexploded’ and it’s trickling out a few books a month. I’ve read lots of other sites about how to promote a book but they usually are a scam or link to a site selling a book about “how to promote your book”. So it was refreshing to see some obviously honest comments, very useful. I shall get to work straight away.

This was an interesting post. I've been trying to promote the fantasy book I'm writing called "Godblood." I plan on releasing it as an ebook before I release it as a physical book, but I'm trying to build up an audience before it's released. I created a blog about it [LINK] and I'm going to promote it on social networks, but I still have very few viewers. I'm in the process of designing a website for it and learning XHTML along the way, but I still don't have many followers. I'm currently almost finished with the first draft, and I plan to use many of these tips to help promote it. Right now, I'm working on SEO.
